Anyone else have trouble with biometrics at border control?

19th February 2013, 03:14 PM

Originally from usa. Expat in uk.

Ever since we got our visas my husband's fingerprints are never approved on the first try upon entering the country. They always send him to the penalty box and go into the back office to match them up with the database. There is no trouble with mine.

We had them done at the same time but with different people at different machines. The agent told us that sometimes there is an issue with the quality of the image they sent and requested them to send it again but it still is a problem. They suggested he might have to have his biometrics done again. He has emailed the attorney to find out what he needs to do to fix this but hasn't heard anything yet. He travels almost every week and it is a pain. It always at least doubles his time getting though customs.

Anyone else have this happen? What did they do to fix it?
