Edinburgh Fringe Festival shows of special interest
The Edinburgh Fringe Festival starts next week, and so I’m happy to pass on some information about three shows which I think should be of special interest to all NO2ID supporters.
1. MARK THOMAS: THE MANIFESTO
“14 shows, 14 audiences, one comic and government to influence. Mark is creating a manifesto; policy paddles to steer us out of shit creek. You vote on them and Mark sets off to make them happen.”
This show is of special interest as NO2ID members will be going along to each show to act as volunteer ‘helpers’ - to distribute and collect audience members’ suggestions about what should appear in the manifesto.

2. FREEDOM COME, FREEDOM GO! - FREE
“90 days detention. Police upset by insects. Man arrested for chalking 'Are we free?' on pavement. Stop and search outside Liberty exhibition. ID cards. DNA database. Protest illegalised. Extradition. Torture. Are we free? Come see!”
This show is of particular interest in that it is being given by the Norwich NO2ID Coordinator and part-time stand up comedian, Tom Read.
The show appropriately is also entirely free! So come along and meet Tom. Definitely not to be missed!

3. 1984, A COMEDY
“Big Brother is watching. Watching as you watch this show. Join Winston and Julia in a battle of wit against O'Brien and not-so-secret policemen in a parody of Orwell's classic adding much needed humour.”
“This intimate performance, with only 40 seats available per night, is a world premier, and is only available at the Edinburgh Fringe this year. Make sure you don't miss out. We know who you are.”
