ID-Day is Monday, 26th March 2006.
Why March 26th?
Because this is the date on which - according to recently-leaked government documents - the first ID interrogation centres will be opening their doors across the UK.
NO2ID is therefore declaring 'ID-Day', and we want to ensure that it is marked in a
coordinated way that will grab the nation's attention. We shall announce the precise nature of the action in due course, but rest assured that it will - according to NO2ID's principles - be peaceful, law-abiding... and designed for maximum political and media impact.
If you want to know more, you'll need to either get in touch with your local group - which will be the focus for activity in your area - or, if there isn't a group near you,
start one! To get the ball rolling, send an e-mail to
local.groups@no2id.net letting us know which town/village/area of a city you live in.
There'll be
some information in our newsletter in the coming weeks (
register your support and subscribe here) but now is the time to start getting active and organised, if you haven't already.
