is anyone aware of when the Home Secretary will be able to start adding
details to the NIr?
The DWP seem to have already the power to summon one to an interview
and request details that are worryingly simillar to those required for the
Orwellian Database..
I have received such a summons for tomorrow morning, as the IR have
a query with my NI number.
I am supposed to provide them with every address I have lived at since
the age of 15 (I was born 1963), full documentation to prove identity and current address, and account to the government for what I have been
doing my entire adult life!
- and all because of an administrative error on behalf of the IR/NI.
Having renewed my passeport last summer, I am very concerned that I may be one of the first to be entered on the dreaded register.
With the refusal of the DWP to issue temp NI numbers, it seems the Dictators of Downing street have been building up a simillar database linked to National Insurance- it is very hard to exist currently without a
valid NI number.. can anyone advise me as to my rights (if such things still exsist under our present administration, which personally I believe they no longer do)
