Post subject: Big Music Acts ID Campaign Posted: Wed, 08 Jun 2005 18:09:47 +0000 |

I am involved in the music industry and have been actively opposing the ID card scheme from the start when Blunkett (the sinister blind man)
ran his phoney consultation. I attempted to contact some big music acts who i thought may have been politically motivated enough to do something (particularly in the run up to the election) to draw the hopelessly ill informed mass publics attention to this oppressive ID scheme. Possibly creating enough heat to take Blair out of office!
I was thinking of the equivalent of Live 8 but focusing on the oppressive ID cards issue and the whole right wing conspiracy that is totally undermining democracy in the Blair dominated UK as well as abroad (particularly USA with the 9/11 manufactured terrorism instrumental in crushing american citizens freedoms along with our own).
There is so much evidence of the global elite (Bilderberg, Masonic, Skull and Bones) intention to create some sort of Orwellian type fascist state that it would convince any reasonable person that there is something very sinister going on that reaches into the highest level of government and beyond. Once people have this understanding they would never submit to allowing their would be jailors any more power over them such as ID cards would give. Facing such a real and serious threat to their liberty, it would be likely there would be mass resistance possibly even a general strike, as the unions became involved in action that would be seen as essential to the survival of the very foundations of democratic society.
They are relying on the mass public never really grasping whats going on until its too late and the fascist noose is tightly around their necks. That's why it is all being done so stealthily and of course always with a pretext (usually the war on terror).
Unfortunately at present in my musical career i am neither famous enough or rich enough to have any great impact. The music acts i contacted are though, but i could only contact them through their management or booking agents and i have no idea if my idea for the campaign ever reached the actual people i asked to help. But as we know there was no pre election big music acts campaigning to expose anything except their egos, which is very sad as they could have made enough difference to save us from Blairs megalomania.
As far as any future campaign based on music/entertainment acts/artists, unless we can get at least one big name on board to start the ball rolling, we better not count on it to stop our liberty going to hell in a hand basket.
So anyone out there with personal contacts to big name
music/entertainment acts and artists, pass this idea on and connect them to the appropriate information to inform and motivate them into action.

1. Glastonbury is giving punters id cards.
2. Your 'industry' is trying to drm'ing everything
3. Wacko Jacko - is likely to get richer if the propsed 99 years on uk song copyright goes through
? Blair is good for sex offenders
Look I doubt 'bono', or any mega band will give a stuff and will ring you and say ID cards are bad - like he/they gives a stuff.
So get real.

well i say good on you, it is certainly worth a try, the kinda of paranoid people we need to recruit are few and far between, but some how i think the music industry could have quite a few

Several famous musicians have contacted No2ID. There are a few obvious candidates to join the cause.
I would suggest this is an inevitability if we can't kill the Bill.

I would suggest that if we can't "kill the bill", it's a bit too late to start raising awareness of the issues involved. You'll already be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed and numbered and will in all likelyhood require your ID to purchace a gig ticket from Ticketmaster.
The time is now...

How about this for starters.
Save our IDENITY
(chorus)
Come on, LISTEN
LEAVE THE INNOCENT ALONE,
We don't need no Fancy System
We JUST want our "NAMES" to be known.
NO. We say to ID CARDS.
We are Innocent, Have a Heart!
There is no place for it in Society,
Strip our Identity and we will fall apart...
(chorus)
Come on, LISTEN.
LEAVE THE INNOCENT ALONE.
We don't need no Fancy System
We just want the Freedom to Roam.
No Mega Data Base, Leave it alone,
Wake up! it Can.t protect our home,
Review the Criminal System that's in place.
Leave us to be part of the "Human Race"
(
chorus)
Come on Listen
Leave the innocent alone,
We don't need no Fancy System
We Just want our "names" to be known.
(C)LG.

I've written some lyrics too. Don't have a tune yet. I'd be interested to know who has contacted no2id? If they're well known enough they could give the movement instand nationwide (or even worldwide) publicity and possibly some revenue if we got anything done. If they contacted no2id they must be very determined to defeat the Bill, so let's get them on board. Even if they just mentioned it at gigs or something it wouldn't hurt.

Good Idea, Must be some good bands out there wanting to get noticed and do this for a good course.
