I have written about the Wilcox case mentioned by David Howarth and written up my notes from the meeting.

I would like to know how I might "adopt a peer" as suggested by Peter Lilley. What's the most effective way to influence the Lords to delay the bill until the next parliament?

I believe it was said at this meeting that the Government has promised and failed to carry out a Race Equality Impact Assessment. In fact it appears to be on-line at http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/docs3/reia_241104.pdf. I have not read it.

I've started work on a web-based scheme allowing people to @dopt a peer ... depending on how things crack on with it, it should be live by mid-next week. That's my plan anyway.

We had a full house (150-160) in Cambridge on Tuesday 25th January, listening to four excellent talks from our invited speakers. Streaming audio and video of the meeting will be available as soon as possible, but meanwhile here are a few photos of the gathering:

Thanks to all who made it happen.

The audio from the 25th January Cambridge meeting is available (at last!) as 32kbps MP3 files:

Grateful thanks to 209 Community Radio in Cambridge for taping the event and making the recording available:

209's one and only studio microphone just went U/S - if you find the recordings useful or interesting, please consider sending them a couple of quid towards a replacement. Thanks.
