Delivering statistical benefits from e-Borders

e-Borders is a UK Border Agency (UKBA) initiative to improve security by collecting travel document information electronically prior to travel.

Although designed for security purposes, there is potential to use this passenger information to deliver improved statistics, particularly on migration.

This report describes the relevance of e-Borders to migration statistics and explains how this work will be taken forward over the next few years.
