I've been following the online comments of the census collectors and wondered if the odd post might be errr - 'planted'? Time to get the video recorder primed for phase 2 I reckon. Just do a search on YouTube. Wonderful entertainment!

""Special Police Powers"" Love that!!! Bring it on..... It only confirms what we know allready...regardless of how the gov want to dress it up...
I am a single working female, im on the electoral register and the NHS payroll system, yet still they dont know my name?? WTF!! They can stick their "instigate prosecution proceedings" up their arse....If I am then considered to be a criminal for non compliance of form filling then so be it... what a joke. That will be (£83.33p per month for a year).
My freedom of speech, privacy and values are worth a 1000 times more than a mingy fine and I will not be bullied into giving them what they want..... Same as the TV licience people, despite not having had a TV in over 8 years, they still harrass me after signing several declaration... I enjoy wasting thier time now, because they deserve it!!
Good luck to those of us who persevere!!

Check out for the very simple facts based on research and legal advice: http://nocensustakingpart.co.uk/whattodo.htmlExactly, for a successful prosecution you would have to open the door to the "non-compliance officer" and their witness (assistant), say to their face "I am refusing to complete and return a census form", give them your details, allow yourself to be "interviewed under caution", sign a "statement of refusal". (Kind of like TV Licensing ) This is what they want you to do; first mistake is opening the door to these goons. No Contact No Comment Do not open the door to them!

Just to think that just a couple of months ago I was out marching against stoodent fees... and every one of these mini-nazis (you can tell by the look on their face that they KNOW that they are doing wrong) has looked suspiciously like a stooodent. Tell you what... it'll be the last time that I go marching for these b!"£!"£. "£1 MILLION A DAY FEES FOR STOODENTS". Talk about cutting your own throat...

A knock at the door is a polite request NOT a summons to attend! Have to say that I felt sorry for the census collector: a very young girl (most likely a student), not particularly attractive , a bit on the "big-boned" side. She looked almost petrified at what may lurk on the other side of the unopened door , poor girl she needed a great big hug too Oh, and a VERY timid knock to boot. Wouldn't have heard it if I hadn't seen her waddling up the mile long driveway with her satchel These "non-compliance" goons are going to have to beef up their presence Must remember to bolt the gate and let the dogs out How scandalous that the recruitment process for census collectors didn't take looks into account. you are indeed perfectly entitled not to open the door. With attitudes such as this, maybe it is best that you don't.

Originally the collectors were contracted until 6th May. There is information that some have been offered an extension until 8th May, but I can't confirm this ATM. The enfarcers were employed from 26th April, and will be unleashed on the 6th May - up to 12th August. They will be paid one weeks holiday 13 - 19 August, then bye-bye. Some will be needed if anyone gives them a statement, which they will use against you. They will only have the same 'powers' as the tv licence people i.e. NONE, unless you are foolish enough to give them your name and details. Treat these enfarcer goons as tv licence ...lice! Ignore them totally. http://www.bbctvlicence.com/index.htmhttp://www.bbctvlicence.com/Tips%20for% ... ssment.htmNo Contact! : No Comment! : Do not open the door to them!

These census nazis have been round hassling me old nan 20. This is an elderly woman and quite frankly I am disgusted. Last time I told the evil bitch to f!"£ o!"£! She started ranting about how an ex-police or ex-solicitor would be round to take a statement and how my gran would be arrested and thrown in jail. I am flabbergasted at this nonsense. These census Nazis are no different to the brownshirts of Nazi Germany. In fact they are the very people who used to snoop and inform on their neighbours, so no change there. They should be shunned by all decent society and tattooed on their forehead with a great big Swastika. How far would these scum stoop? I know I shouldn't say, but my nan used to live in Eastern Germany and the tales she tells are frightening in that they are the way this country is heading. My nan's late husband who was persecuted by the Nazis would be rolling in his grave. This is the march to Fascism, being fed fed by an insidious propaganda form the media, and it is with these census scum that this starts. This is my prime reason for refusing to have anything to do with this snooping census. When we wake up in a Totalitarian state then those who refused to partake will have a clear conscience. And this is the crux, it is a matter of conscience. Can you put your hand on your heart and say: "I believe that this census is benign; it will help to build more hospitals and schools". Or do you believe that there is a more sinister agenda and your children and grandchildren will curse you at a future time for your betrayal and failing to take a stand. If you are filling out and returning this form out of fear then please think again because if you do so your children and grandchildren will have a lot more to fear in the future. Thank you for reading.

We've got a census woman sat in her car watching our house from further down the road for 3 to 4 hours!! at a time. Sometimes, we can see her scribbling notes; we have also seen her going to an elderly neighbours. This this *normal* behaviour for these people? Or is this how she fills her "duty hours"? This is seriously weird. We feel stalked "Oh, look there is that crazy woman sat in her car again". It is like something out of Fatal Attraction, maybe she has the hots for hubby. Or maybe this is the type of folk that are attracted to this "job", crazies

I've been listening in to census bods posting in a public forum. Most revealing. One jokingly (?) referred to 'staking out' a house with a packed lunch. Where I live, strangers and their vehicles stand out like a sore thumb. Spotted a stranger the other day and thought 'I'm not leaving till you do'. Probably a total innocent! Just wondering whether I should order my paranoia meds now .
