I only have 6 records posted after that date, but I didn't get any of the posts on the 16th (if there were any).

Might it be worth issuing an FOI request to find out why it was taken down? I suspect the answer given would make for interesting reading.

A couple of former mylifemyid contributors have now made available complete archives of all the postings to the site. See:

The IPS website still links to mylifemyid from their main page!

I understand the going rate for inaccurate information is a thousand pounds a go, isn't it? Oh, wait no, that's only for us peasants, not official sources of information...

But it's the IPS! How could they be wrong???

The final report, which was presented to the government in December 2008, has now been released following a freedom of information request. It didn't make pleasant reading for the Home Office by the look of it - I can see why they were so reluctant to publish it earlier.
Request
Executive summary (PDF, 227k)
Final report (PDF, 484k)

From the FOI response:

Quote:
For your additional information, we can confirm that Summary findings of all our research with young people has now been published. Please see the following link to our website:

http://www.ips.gov.uk/cps/rde/xchg/ips_ ... l/1698.htm

This links to another document, apparently written by IPS:

Young People and Identity - research summary (PDF - 86Kb)

I see that those opposed to the scheme are described as "lobbyists" in IPS's summary of the mylifemyid results. That word isn't used in the mylifemyid report itself.

I see on page 11 there is conflation of proving one's identity and proving one's age / proving one is over 18.

Very entertaining read even if to hear Indymedia described as a US pro-Libertarian news site? Eh!
