I liked the 19 down clue in today's cryptic crossword in the Herald (11/06/10).

Anagram of "ID cards" meaning "get rid of" = ??

Its not so much the answer I like, its the fact that the repeal of the ID cards bill has permeated into our culture as a crossword clue that appealed to me.

"discard" = anagram of "id cards" and means "get rid of"

sorry I was attempting to be funny with "waste disposal" I should have realised this was a serious crossword
