Hiya,

Another one of those sporadic updates that I give, from time to time.

This is advance notice, that all going to plan, this forum site, http://forum.no2id.net will be taken off-line for between one and three hours on Sunday evening.

Exactly when is currently unknown, but the forum is to be moved to a new machine. Everything should be 'business as usual', after the move, although, if there are any shenanigans, you might like to email <move@forum.no2id.net>

(If you'll be composing a long forum post, you may find it useful to copy the post and paste it into a text-editor before hitting submit, just in case.)

I'll probably update the twitters-stream (@no2idhq) during the process, and this thread before kick-off.[/url]

That didn't quite work, so there will be some more downtime at some point in the not so distant. Stay tuned.

That not so distant has now arrived. I'll be downing the forum a little later this afternoon, possibly for a few hours.

There'll be a "down" message up, during the process.

This is proving to be quite a nuisance.

Forum availability is duly on short-notice, as we try and test things as time permits.

(for anyone interested, the hiccups are due to character encoding, the ancient database, a lack of native UTF-8 support in the forum software, and a lack of design-skills.)

And after a day of "fun", the forum has been upgraded and re-housed.

A few changes, as well as the cosmetic ones, but all the content's still here.
