Not quite sharing, but certainly a) transforming and b) expanding access to at least one key database.

More than 600 South Yorkshire Police officers will be handed a BlackBerry equipped with an application to help them access records on the move.

The gadget imports data direct from the Police National Computer and could put an end to the hours of red tape.
