How might this interpretation of EU law affect travel outwith Europe? I imagine that there is no legal bar to the government demanding personal data from those travelling to and from destinations outside Europe.
However, if all that someone of evil intent requires to do to avoid their details being passed to UKBA is to travel to the UK via an intermediate European country, then there can be little point in eBorders at all. Or am I being simplistic here?
