It seems that the Labour government is trying any possible method to capture UK citizens biometric data and it is using every possible agency to do this.

They say the data will be destroyed after 24 hours - but this definition of data is not enough to guarantee it is destroyed. They could be talking about the data captured by the fingerprint scanner not any other piece of data derived from the orginal source.
I'm going to avoid Heathrow from now on until the position is made absolutely clear.
