"Personal data belonging to nearly 40 million UK motorists is likely to be abused by foreign officials under new automatic access powers, according to a restricted report.
Drivers' details such as name, address, motoring convictions and some medical information will be available to more than two dozen European countries around the clock under the PrĂ¼m Convention."http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/12/14/dvla_prum/I can find nothing reported that indicates the coalition will do anything different to Labour in respect of this issue.
I understand the campaign is currently going through a period of change and refocusing it's efforts. Will this issue be included within the refocused campaign?
When one considers the wider access to this data, the scope for misuse, loss and problems caused by erroneous data I think it a more serious issue than Summary Care Records or the ContactPoint database.
