Superb script, nice gravitas.

Couple of technical suggestions you probably already know:

Use a big sheet of white polystyrene to increase light to shaded faces.
Make sure audio volume is consistent throughout.

Truly impressive tho.

There is also a blog on that site, the last post being Phil's detailed dissection of the leaked emails.

I can hear the sound but see no picture (just a black screen that says "loading..."). Is there a non-flash version that can be downloaded?

Try downloading the file directly and playing with FLV Player.

The problem is not the player itself. The video requires Flash version 8 (no matter which player is used) but this has not yet been released for Linux, for which version 7 is the latest available.

A very good video, showing that NO2ID is an organization to be taken seriously and not, as some people think, a group of would-be anarchists trying to put an end to Democracy. Well Done.

This may sound cheeky, but could the person who owns the source to that vid convert it to the MPEG1 or 2 standards? Lots of different computers (and DVD players) understand that format, and no special players are needed. Makes it easier to spread around either via the 'net or on a CD/DVD.

Could host it via BitTorrent if server bandwidth is an issue?

Definitely agree that we should be using standards where possible - and since this is our content, I can't think there's a reason why we shouldn't release it as an MPEG as well. Will ask.

Phil Booth has made available the video in MPEG-4 format here (20MB):

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... B74F140F1F

It looks as though this URL should allow the first 90+ people to download, after which we'll have to host it elsewhere. Any volunteers to seed the file via bittorrent?

This should be playable using a number of different players, including:

Apple Quicktime (Mac, Win): http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download

VLC (Mac, Windows, Linux): http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

MPlayer (Mac, Windows, Linux): http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design6/dload.html

RealPlayer (Mac, Windows, but beware ads): http://www.real.com/player/

If you have any difficulty getting or playing the MPEG-4, please post here.

Finally got a chance to convert the MP4 file to DivX and upload it to YouTube here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HYxDfj7Ozs

...which removes any download limits and (hopefully) gets the file out to even more people.

If you have a local group website or blog, you can embed this video on your site by including the following HTML:

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-HYxDfj7Ozs"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-HYxDfj7Ozs" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="600" height="350"></embed></object>

Did anybody else not understand the point of the 2nd video?

That almost looks like a pro-ID thing.

The point of the second video was that previously law-abiding Ben was driven to terrorism by an over-bearing state - hardly a pro-ID message!

Our latest video is now up on YouTube - backstage commentary from some of the comedians who performed at NO2ID's comedy benefit at the Hackney Empire last October:

No spoilers but love Ben Norris' line right at the end.

A tip: You can download and keep YouTube videos for later viewing, or re-distribution, sending it as an e-mail attachment, etc :)
