Post subject: miscellaneuos section and drug abuse
PostPosted: Mon, 11 Oct 2010 18:22:07 +0000
I was arrested for a shoplifing offence and given a suspended sentance which has now run its course. at the time of the offence i was drug tested in the station and it came up positive for heroin. I was shocked that when i applied to do voluntary work the results of my drug test came up on the miscellaneous section even though i was not arrested for a drug offence and never have been. how can this be allowed? any answers would be appreciated

thanks

Was this an Enhanced CRB check? If so, this allows for other potentially relevant information to be disclosed by the police. There is a useful discussion here:

Other question - did you actually use heroin or was it a false positive? If it's okay to ask?
