Unless someone can come up with £100k, we can't do a TV ad.

We do however need posters, flyers & stunts.

Here are a couple of excellent magazine ads No2ID has successfully used:

http://www.bristol-no2id.org.uk/downloa ... aseMan.pdf
http://www.bristol-no2id.org.uk/downloa ... keJane.pdf

The second one is especially good - notice how the handwritten story and image draw you in. Notice how it stays with you for days/weeks after seeing it. Notice the strong "call for action" at the bottom.

You don't need an image to grab people's attention. In fact, a page of text stands out among a sea of images, especially if it has a good headline.

With regard to DatabaseMan, I would argue that my security clearance is higher than his, which is another reason I don't want my details on an insecure system...

Belated response to the above. Excellent!

Perhaps they could be used to begin to target specific professions, etc? Wouldn't the 2nd one be perfect in a Social Work journal? We need to think about how professionals may be required to relate and work with the system on a daily basis.

It would be much more than that if we were permitted to do it - which rules on TV commercials prevent. You can't run political ads on TV.

However we can buy newspaper space. But that also costs. We are currently looking at a short campaign using professional creative work (supplied pro bono) and seeking four-figure donations towards the budget.

Get in touch if you are in funds and seriously want to help with this, and we can explain what we want to do - but we will not be exposing the campaign to anyone before it runs.
