I think this needs a little more publicity than it's currently getting, there's a public members bill making it's way through the house which will have a marked effect on any FOI requests you want to make.
http://services.parliament.uk/bills/2010-11/freedomofinformationamendment.htmlQuote:
Amend the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to remove provisions permitting
Ministers to overrule decisions of the Information Commissioner and
Information Tribunal; to limit the time allowed for public authorities to
respond to requests involving consideration of the public interest; to amend
the definition of public authorities; and for connected purposes.
ministers overrule the ICO and information tribunal ?
connected purposes ?
sounds like someone wants to pull the teeth of the act before it can be used to hold parliament to account again and send a few more ministers to jail
