I'm sure most of the peeps on here are well aware that the report and 3rd reading stage of the Identity Card Bill are taking place on thursday of this week.
This is the last time for a while that lobbying your MP is going to have any potential effect on their voting behaviour, since the Bill then passes to the Lords, who are not so easy to lobby, as i understand it anyway.
From one freedom craving person to another, i beg you, if you can in any way do so, to make your way to the Houses of Parliament this Thursday and lobby your MP on the issue of the "Identity Card" Bill.
I know that many of the people on here have been diligent in their letter writing, and i commend you on being so, but we all know that a personal visit, especially to their center location, has much more power in it.
So, if you have to phone a sicky for the day, do so; if you have to miss a game, miss it; if you have to not do whatever it is that you usually do, please, please come down and lobby on this important day.
Coach travel is cheap (visit nationalexpress.com) and the trains can be pretty good value too if you are lucky; a car with a few friends is even better (just park outside the congestion zone!).
I hope that some of you can make it down, and rest assured that no visit will be a wasted trip, because people notice what is going on in that place, and word gets around that people are making noise.
There will also be a public leafleting opportunity earlier in the day, which gives us even more to do!
Please, do what you can.
