THE UK HOME OFFICE has slammed the much-delayed E-Borders programme, saying in a committee report today that it's a "huge disappointment" it won't be deployed in time for the Olympics.

The criticism comes with the recent news that although airline passenger checks will be implemented in time for the London 2012 Games this Summer, the security arrangements will not include shipping or rail passengers entering the country.
