DAVID Cameron is having to sort out a major snooping law bust-up between Nick Clegg and Theresa May.
To stem a growing Lib Dem revolt, Deputy PM Clegg announced a lengthy scrutiny for the legislation when it is unveiled next month.
That would postpone the ability of anti-terror spooks to spy on emails and web communications until 2013.
But wobbly Mr Clegg did not clear the move with either No10 or the Home Office first, The Sun has learned.
And Home Secretary Mrs May is fuming. She has promised to arm MI5 and police chiefs with the right to dip into email and Facebook accounts of terrorists and crime bosses as soon as possible.
