The "Articles & Publications" forum is for discussion of relevant articles in the media.
The point of this section is as an information resource and for monitoring mainstream media. So postings from reputable, fact-checked, sources or first hand accounts only, please. No third hand Chinese-whisper web-postings.
Articles irrelevant to ID or database surveillance may be removed without warning. In particular, please do not post stories about general surveillance or civil liberties issues where no data-sharing is involved.
Foreign stories merely mentioning ID cards in use are off topic. Stories about the introduction of schemes or systemic defects in schemes are welcome. Stories about them in normal use are not. (They are not generally very interesting anyway, but the specific ban is because it will be used to introduce geopolitical hobby-horses into this forum.)

The recommended subject title of the post is the name of the media followed by the same title as the article eg "Guardian: What's the big ID?"
The BBS software will cut off the subject title at 60 characters and you can only edit it if you're registered. Obviously the title of the article is more important - contract if necessary.
