I managed to get a letter published in MK News(June 1st), by emailling it. There are two local newspapers in Milton Keynes and I chose this one as MK News had more coverage of national issues.
In hindsight one of the jounalists on the newspaper is fanatically opposed to ID cards, so this may have influenced their decision to publish my letter. They did not publish my last letter that was on the anti-terrorism bill.
I suggest checking the length of letters previously published, and try & keep your letters to the average length. Any local angle should increase the chances of publication.
